The Intersection of Law & Sovereignty

Protect
what matters
Most

The legal system exists to impose order. But whose order? Unless you plan strategically and act proactively to establish your own order, someone else will impose theirs. Who? A creditor, competitor, or business rival. Or the government — the legislature by statute, or a judge by opinion. You are responsible for protecting your family, your business, your assets, and your sovereignty. I can help.

Scope of Practice

Estate Planning

Everyone needs an estate plan. In fact, everyone already has one — but the government wrote it and you don’t even know what it says. Whether you need a simple will, a trust, or a more comprehensive estate plan, I help ensure that you — not the government — determine your legacy.

Business Strategies & Tactics

The legal system provides many business tools — corporations, LLCs, contracts, intellectual property rights, mergers, acquisitions, debt, equity, and more. But a tool is only as good as the strategy, tactics, and skill of its user. I help you take a strategic view of your legal needs and tactically deploy the right tools to establish, build, protect, and ultimately pass on your business.

Technology & Intellectual Property

Having spent much of my corporate career in the technology sector, I am particularly well versed in technology and intellectual property matters. I have deep experience with software, hardware, manufacturing, development, research, artificial intelligence, and most major areas of modern technology.

THE BACKGROUND

From Wall Street to W. State Street — From Silicon Valley to the Treasure Valley

I began my career in Big Law — top-tier global law firms — representing Fortune 100 multi-national corporate clients. I moved in-house, holding leadership roles in the corporate legal departments of Microsoft and Intel, and later served as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for a hyper-growth startup in Silicon Valley. During my corporate career, I worked in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Beijing.

After nearly 30 years in that world, I became disillusioned with corporate America and big-city life. In 2018, I moved to Eagle Idaho and became a solo practitioner focused on serving people, families, and local businesses — not massive corporations.

I am a true solo practitioner. I do not employ — or delegate your work to — inexperienced lawyers, paralegals, or support staff. When I accept your matter, I handle it personally. I build human, not financial, relationships with my clients. I am selective in accepting new work. I do not take cases simply to make money. I accept clients I can serve well. I welcome inquiries from potential clients.

Outside my law practice, I spend my time as a CrossFit trainer, combatives and firearms instructor, dog dad, and working our small homestead with my wife.
